  Sadly I have been in this hospital more times than I care to admit. I have heart issues and can only speak about the heart wing. I have had the most wonderful and awesome experiences at MMC!!! Great nursing staff who are very attentive!! I would highly recommend this hospital!!!

  i recently had my second child here. (first son was at arlington memorial, and let me tell you...this place is 100% better). i went into labor and was completely emotional because my husband was working 6 hours away. from the emergency obstetrics department i met when my water broke down to housekeeping, every single one of the staff involved in my delivery were phenomenal. i had told them that the father was so far away, and everyone did everything that was safely and medically possible to slow down the process so my husband could possibly make it in time and that means so so much to me. our son had other plans and was too eager to meet the world, so he came to the world two and a half hours shy of meeting his daddy. but for the entire staff to take it in consideration was so sweet. i absolutely loved every nurse and doctor i dealt with here. they know what they're doing and put the patients first. this delivery was so much smoother than my first, everyone was so kind. you guys took such great care of my family and i owe the world to y'all for that.

  The staff was very friendly. The wait in the ER wasn't astronomical, and the staff was accommodating and empathetic to my condition. Once in a room, I explained that I had a spinal headache and the doctor came right in. Dr. Holbrook was very kind and personable, as were his RNs. I needed a blood patch, and he stated it would be a long wait for the anesthesiologist, as they would have to find one free on the surgery side, so it may be 3 or 4 hours. I braced myself for a long day; but, 15 minutes later Dr. Rice walked in and was ready to rock and roll. The blood patch was as painless as pumping 40cc of blood into your spinal cord to pressurize your brain could be, and once complete, I was instantly pain-free! Fifteen minutes after that I walked out the door and went home. I'm thankful for the terrific staff and experience I had at MCA.
